I’ve built my whole green cleaning routine (and this business!) based on one simple idea: you don’t need a million products to keep your home clean - just the right ingredients.

With this kit, you’ll have everything you need to ditch the supermarket cleaning aisle for good and make your own effective, low-tox solutions - without the waste or overwhelm.

What's in the Kit

All the cleaning products or solutions I need in my home, I can solve with these key ingredients - and so can you!

Each ingredient comes in a beautiful, reusable apothecary jar, making it easy to organise your cleaning cupboard and actually enjoy reaching for what you need.

And to make things even simpler, I’ve included a 20-piece recipe card set with tried-and-tested recipes. You’ll know exactly what to grab, how much to use, and what to make - no Googling needed.

About the Glassware

The key powders come packaged in charming vintage style Apothecary Jars.

Our jars are made from recycled glass and are a decorated amber keeping it affordable. Due to their recycled nature, there may be slight imperfections that only add to their character. Tip: The inside of the lid measures approx. one tablespoon

Everything will come labelled with simple waterproof vinyl labels - which I designed and print - so you get an inexpensive, no-fuss way to keep your DIY cleaning products organised. I use a thermal label printer, which means there’s no ink (uses heat to create the print)

How to Look After Them
- They’re waterproof, so splashes and spills won’t be a problem.
- But they’re not scrub-proof, so avoid using harsh abrasives or scrubbing too hard.
- Not dishwasher safe - hand wash bottles and jars carefully to keep the label intact.

What cleaning products can I make with this kit?

The whole idea of this kit is so you can replace standard cleaning products and skip past the cleaning isle at the supermarket. From kitchen benches to bathroom tiles, dishwashing to laundry - this kit covers most everyday cleaning tasks.

With just these nine ingredients (10 with essential oils), you can whip up nearly every cleaning product you need - from laundry and dish liquid to glass spray, oven paste, and more.

The kit includes recipe cards to get you started, and you’ll find heaps of step-by-step recipes in the DIY Recipe Hub.

Most tasks can be done with just 1 or 2 ingredients, and I promise, nothing takes more than a minute to mix and is as easy as making a cuppa! If not easier!

Are the ingredients eco-friendly and ethical?

A full green ethos, every step of the way! At Under Your Sink, I consider the environmental impact of everything - from sourcing to how it lands at your door.

Every ingredient is biodegradable, vegan-friendly, ethically sourced, and safe for septic systems. And because plastic-free is part of the plan, your order arrives with as little waste as possible. Low footprint, high standards.

How do i refill?

Easy! Just head over to the DIY ingredients collection and you can grab all the powder ingredients in Earth bags, which are home compostable. Designed to get the products from me to you in the most eco-friendly way, however not designed for long term storage - hence the amber glassware. See the dots connect.

Why amber glass storage?

Amber glass helps protect what’s inside by blocking UV light, which can degrade certain ingredients over time. This means your cleaning solutions stay fresher for longer. It’s also a bit of a science classic - amber bottles have long been used in chemistry labs for storing light-sensitive substances. Durable, reusable, and timeless.
