Replacement Guarantee

If it arrives broken, I'll replace it

Glass travels a long way to get to you, and it passes through a lot of hands on the way. I pack every order so it arrives safe and sound, and if it doesn't, a replacement goes out. Simple as that.

How your order is packed

Every piece is wrapped by hand. There's no plastic in the box: no bubble wrap, no foam, no plastic air pillows.

  • Tissue paper wraps each bottle, jar, trigger and pump on its own.
  • Hand cut corrugated board goes around every piece. The wavy layer inside the board (the fluting) squashes on impact and spreads the force sideways before it reaches the glass.
  • A double lined box gives a second wall of protection.
  • BioFill packing peanuts fill every gap so nothing shifts. They're made from plant starch, not polystyrene, and dissolve in water or go straight in the compost.

If something arrives damaged

  1. Take a photo. Photograph the damaged item and the box it came in, before you throw any packaging away.
  2. Email me within [7] days of delivery. Send the photos to info@underyoursink.com.au with your order number.
  3. I'll send a replacement. Once I've seen the photos, your replacement goes out at no cost to you, postage included.

Why I ask for photos: it isn't a hurdle. The photos show me how the parcel was handled on the road, and that tells me whether to change how I pack the next one.

Good to know

Please don't post the broken pieces back. Wrap broken glass in newspaper or board, pop it in a box and put it in your general waste. Broken glass can't go in the kerbside recycling.

It covers everything in your order, not just glassware. If a bag has split in transit and everything else is perfect, I'll replace that bag.

If the item is out of stock, I'll let you know and you can choose to wait for a replacement or have that item refunded.

Your rights stay the same. This guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, not instead of them.
