Xanthan gum is what turns water based products into smooth, thicker gel solutions. It's a natural thickening agent used in beauty and cleaning products. It even thicken sauces in cooking!
It works best when mixed with glycerine, for a well dispersed and clump free mixture. It does thicken before your eyes and continues to do so for the next hour as the xanthan gum absorbs into the water molecules. So just a small amount is required.
