NatraSorb Bath starts its life as tapioca starch, which comes from the root of the cassava plant. What makes it special is the way it’s been modified during processing. The starch granules are treated so that tiny microscopic pockets form inside them. These pockets act like little storage containers for oils, allowing the starch to absorb a surprisingly high amount (up to around 16% of its weight) while still looking and feeling like a dry, free-flowing powder.
When you drop it into warm water, those starch granules instantly dissolve. As they break apart, they release the oils they’ve been holding and disperse them evenly throughout the bath. That’s the real magic - instead of oil slicks floating on the surface, the water feels soft and evenly scented. It’s the same reason formulators use it in bath bombs, salts, and milk baths to give that spa-like feel without leaving a greasy residue.
