Why you’ll use this
Why you’ll use this
Glycerine's lmain role is support. It improves how ingredients combine, stabilises mixtures, and enhances the feel of finished products. In cleaning recipes, it helps maintain consistency. In body and hand products, it acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin.
Vegetable glycerine is typically derived from plant oils such as soy or coconut. The one I stock is palm-free, non-GMO, and USP grade, meaning it meets pharmaceutical standards for purity.
Fun fact: glycerine is naturally produced during soap making. In commercial soap manufacturing, it’s often removed. In DIY, you can intentionally add it back in to improve performance and skin feel.

No more clumpy liquid hand soap - mixing the xantham gum into the glycerine before mixing into the soap mixture make the biggest difference.
