Soap and detergent are not the same thing! However they both work as surfactants to trap and lift dirt so so it can be rinsed away. A pure soap is your most simplest, natural and safest surfactant as well as the most eco-friendly.

What is it & does


Coconut Soap Flakes are true hard soap made from organic coconut oil.

Soap is created through a process called saponification, where oils react with an alkali to form soap. In hard soap, sodium hydroxide is used during that reaction. The finished product is soap rather than coconut oil mixed with lye.

And soap has one very important job in cleaning: it is a surfactant.

Soap molecules have one end that is attracted to water and another that is attracted to oils. In water, they surround oily dirt and grease, helping lift it away from fabrics and surfaces so it can be carried away when you rinse.

⚠️ Avoid mixing coconuts soap directly with acidic ingredients such as vinegar or citric acid, as the reaction can reduce the effectiveness of both products.
