Percarbonate is the active ingredient found in oxybleach and many stain-removal products. When mixed with warm or hot water, it releases oxygen that helps lift stains, brighten whites, freshen fabrics and tackle built-up grease.
You'll find it in many of my favourite DIY cleaning recipes because it works across the laundry, kitchen and bathroom. It's also a common ingredient in commercial cleaning products for the same reason - it cleans by helping lift and remove soils rather than masking them.

Why buy it pure?
Why buy it pure?
Buying the pure ingredient gives you complete control over what goes into your cleaning products and how much you use. There are no fillers, fragrances or unnecessary extras.
Instead of buying separate products for stain removal, laundry soaking, dishwasher powder, grout cleaning and degreasing, you can start with one ingredient and make what you need. That means less packaging, less waste and a simpler cleaning cupboard.

Why it's in my toolkit
Replacing bleach was one of the biggest challenges when I started making my own cleaning products. Bleach is incredibly effective, so finding an alternative that could handle the same jobs wasn't easy.
I actually discovered sodium percarbonate by accident while researching alternatives. The more I learned about it, the more impressed I became. But when I finally tried it, my mind was blown. Not only did it tackle many of the jobs I had always relied on bleach for, I quickly discovered it could do so much more.
It became the ingredient behind my laundry soaks, dishwasher powder, stain removers and many of the DIY recipes I still use today. I never looked back.
Years later, it's still one of the ingredients I reach for most and has earned a permanent place under my sink.
