Hear from the head packer about how it works

We want to take the hassle out of shipping as much as possible, however it's a bloody complex web of weights, postcodes & sizes. Especially in this business where it is not a standard one size fits all. 


So this page is designed to tell you everything you need to know about postage & how your delivery will get to you. 

HOW IT WORKS

Shipping costs are based on total weight & postcode & we have 2 options: 

     1) Courier Services 

     2) Australia Post. 

You should receive a shipping estimate while in your cart 

Actual shipping rates are confirmed once you hit checkout  once you have input the delivery address.

Please ensure you only select an Australia Post Option as couriers do not deliver to PO Boxes.

For orders over $170  AND if your delivery address falls in postcode range 3000-3220          

how long does it take

Hi I am Analisa & the lone ranger who will prepare, pack & ship your order. I'll do my best to get it done as quick as possible, but as everything is done by hand please allow 2-3 days for me to get it organise. This may even take a bit longer when a huge sale is on or when there are high volume of orders.


The actual delivery time once it's in the hands of the courier or Australia post will vary depending on your location. However, you will receive an email with tracking details so you can monitor this. 

safe delivery & authority to leave

All orders sent by Australia Post or couriers are tracked .If no-one is at home when Australia Post or the courier delivers, you should receive a 'calling card' detailing next steps or re-delivery.  


 All orders require your signature on delivery unless you select the  'Authority to Leave' option when selecting delivery. Please also leave special delivery instructions in the Comments Box during Checkout for the order to be left in a safe location should you not be at home. Please note, however, that by doing so you take responsibility should the order go missing after it is delivered.

about the courier options

We use Transdirect which is a carbon neutral company! They facilitate the booking through a range of courier companies like Fastway & Couriers Please. 

loss & damage

It is your responsibility to advise us should an order delivery be late, incorrect or damaged. Please contact us immediately on info@underyoursink.com. Should an order be lost in transit, damaged or incorrect, we may not send replacement items immediately. Replacement items will be despatched according to our discretion following our investigations.We do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place.We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery.

max weights

You can order up to 25kg per shipment, anything greater than this will require an individual quote. If you require a personal shipping quote please contact Analisa at info@underyoursink.com

buying in bulk pays off

In most cases the difference in shipping rates between 5-10kg to 10-25kg is not that much difference. It's worth considering buying in bulk to not only save on packaging but the goodies too!


TIP: Team up with friends, family, neighbours or work colleagues to buy what you need together. 

how we package 

Keeping with a full green approach I try my best to be resourceful and reuse anything I get from my suppliers.

I need to make sure everything is super tight in the box so to do this I use tissue paper, corrugated cardboard or Biofill packing peanuts (look like polystyrene balls but are in fact made from rice and just melt away when wet)
