Rinse Aid

This should not even be called a recipe as its only 1 simple pantry ingredient!

INGREDIENT

- white vinegar *

- 10-15 drops essential oil (optional)

* You could also dissolve 1 teaspoon of Citric Acid to approx. 30ml of water

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add the vinegar & optional essential oils directly to the rinse aid compartment in your dishwasher, refill every week-fortnight depending on how much it is used.

IMPORTANT STUFF TO KNOW

Will vinegar ruin the seals in my dishwasher?

This word on the street is it will ruin the seals because it's acidic. If you research the pH of most Rinse Aids they range from 2-6 making them all acidic solutions. Corrosion will occur over time no matter what, that's why we need to clean & maintain the dishwasher but please only do what you are comfortable with.

Do I need to dilute it down?

No, we are trying to remove water stains so adding water won't help.

What vinegar should I use?

Use the white vinegar found in the food isle (next to the balsamic) this is made from fermented grains. The cleaning vinegar that has 'do not consume' on it, is a mix of 95% water with acedic acid which may be petroleum derived.

Can I use citric acid instead of vinegar?

Yes you can, but use the least amount of water you can to dissolve it.
