How to use Percarbonate for cleaning

Using sodium percarbonate for cleaning is straightforward, and it can be applied in various scenarios.

Stain Removal: For treating stains on clothes and fabrics.

Fabric Brightening: To brighten whites and keep coloured fabrics fresh.

Surface Cleaning: For cleaning surfaces, especially in the kitchen and bathroom.

General Cleaning: To clean various household items.

Here's are just some of the many ways you can use sodium percarbonate around your home.

Dishwasher Powder

  • Mix equal parts sodium percarbonate and washing soda and store in an airtight container.
  • When required add 1 tablespoon (approx. 25g) to the detergent compartment of your dishwasher.
  • Operate your dishwasher as per manufacturer’s instructions.

All-Purpose Cleaning Spray

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of sodium percarbonate with 2 cups of warm water.
  • Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil for a pleasant fragrance (optional).
  • Transfer the mixture to a 500ml spray bottle and shake well before each use.
  • Spray on surfaces like countertops, tiles, and sinks. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe clean with a cloth or sponge.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner

  • Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate directly into the toilet bowl.
  • Pour in approx. 1 litre of hot or boiling water and let it sit for a few minutes, allowing it to fizz and clean.
  • Scrub the bowl with a toilet brush and then flush.

Grout and Tile Cleaner

  • Create a paste by mixing sodium percarbonate with warm water until you have a thick consistency.
  • Apply the paste onto grout lines and stained areas.
  • Allow it to sit for a while, scrub gently with a brush, and rinse thoroughly with water.

The list goes on…

There are so many more options and solutions for percarbonate than we can list here, but I think you get the general idea that is versatile and amazing!

Remember, while sodium percarbonate is effective, it's important to do a patch test on a small, inconspicuous area before using it on a larger scale, especially on sensitive surfaces. Additionally, wear gloves when handling and mixing sodium percarbonate.
